Residential anxiety treatment is a live-in level of care for adults whose anxiety, panic, or related symptoms are severe enough to need round-the-clock support. It delivers intensive, daily CBT and exposure therapy plus psychiatric medication management in a structured setting — a higher level of care than weekly outpatient therapy, for when symptoms have become disabling.

Approximately 40 million U.S. adults are affected by anxiety disorders (ADAA). When these conditions become severe or treatment-resistant, residential care provides the intensity and 24/7 support that weekly therapy cannot.

An estimated 2.7% of U.S. adults experienced generalized anxiety disorder in the past year (NIMH). When worry is constant and disabling, residential care provides intensive CBT and worry-management skills with 24/7 support and medication management.

An estimated 2.7% of U.S. adults experienced panic disorder in the past year (NIMH). Residential care delivers intensive interoceptive exposure and CBT in a safe setting, with immediate support during panic — breaking the fear-of-the-next-attack cycle.

An estimated 7.1% of U.S. adults experienced social anxiety disorder in the past year (NIMH). Structured, intensive exposure and cognitive work in a supportive residential community help rebuild confidence when social anxiety has become severely limiting.

An estimated 9.1% of U.S. adults experienced a specific phobia in the past year (NIMH). Exposure therapy is the gold-standard approach; in a residential setting it can be delivered intensively and safely, with clinical support throughout.

About 2.3% of U.S. adults experience OCD at some point in their lives (NIMH). Severe OCD often needs the intensive, daily exposure and response prevention (ERP) that residential care provides — far more repetition than weekly therapy can match.

About 6% of U.S. adults will have PTSD at some point in their lives (National Center for PTSD, VA). Residential care offers trauma-focused therapies like CPT and EMDR within a stable environment, at a pace your nervous system can tolerate.

Most people are not sure whether their anxiety needs residential care, inpatient stabilization, or something less intensive. A ten-minute phone call with our admissions team — at no cost and no obligation — will give you a clear answer.
We are ALWAYS here for you!
(844) 528-0938Residential anxiety treatment starts with a thorough assessment, then a structured daily schedule of evidence-based care. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps you identify and rewire the thought patterns that fuel anxiety, while exposure therapy — delivered intensively and safely in a supportive setting — steadily retrains your fear response. Psychiatric medication management, prescribed and monitored by our medical team, can lower the baseline so therapy works faster.
Living in a stable environment, away from daily stressors and triggers, lets you focus fully on recovery with 24/7 clinical support. Length of stay is individualized and reviewed continually, and as you stabilize your team plans a step-down to a lower level of care so progress holds. Our admissions team is available around the clock to explain the process and verify your insurance.

Residential anxiety treatment is a live-in level of care where adults with severe anxiety stay at a Joint Commission-accredited facility with 24/7 clinical support. It combines intensive, daily cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy with psychiatric medication management — a higher level of care than weekly outpatient therapy, designed for when anxiety or panic has become disabling.
A higher level of care is appropriate when anxiety or panic is severe, persistent, or no longer safe to manage at home, or when outpatient therapy and medication have not been enough. Inpatient care adds 24/7 stabilization for acute crises. A brief phone assessment with our admissions team helps determine the right starting level — we are available any time to talk it through.
The most effective treatments are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy, including interoceptive exposure for panic and gradual exposure for phobias and social anxiety. For severe symptoms, psychiatric medication such as an SSRI is often added. In residential care these are delivered intensively, several times a day, with the same clinical team — far more repetition than weekly therapy.
Length of stay is individualized — often a few weeks — and depends on your symptoms, goals, and progress. Your treatment team reviews your plan continually and begins planning your step-down to a lower level of care as you stabilize. The aim is durable relief and a clear plan for maintaining it, not a fixed number of days.
Victory Bay accepts Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, and Aetna. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid at this time. Because coverage varies by plan, our admissions team verifies your specific benefits before you start so you understand any out-of-pocket costs in advance. Call us and we will check your coverage quickly.
